Sjoert Zuidhof
Operations Director
Sjoert was introduced to dairy farming very early. As a young man, he assisted producers with milking, feeding, and fieldwork. He studied to become a dairy veterinarian like his father. After working at the University of Utrecht, he emigrated to Canada to practice veterinary medicine.
Sjoert worked at a dairy practice in Southern Alberta as a partner and an owner. He furthered his education at the University of Guelph, earning a certificate in Dairy Herd Management and an MBA in Agriculture.
Over the last 20 years, Sjoert travelled the world and worked with multi-national companies in sales and marketing. In 2016, he moved back to Canada to work in the Alberta feed industry.
At present, Sjoert works as an independent consultant. He works with dairy farms, does on-farm research, sales consulting, and business development.
He is excited to work with the DairyCrop team for their passion, expertise, and concern for the well-being of their customers and their animals.
In his free time, Sjoert enjoys travel, cooking, golf, fishing, working out, and spending time with family. He is an avid cyclist and completed two Gran Fondo events. He looks forward to continuing his work helping farmers.
